DAY – 3
BLOG: Millionaire-Made Feminine Entrepreneur
Have you ever dreamt of striking it rich, winning the lottery, or of coming up with the next million dollar idea?
Of course you have. We all have at one time or another.
I’m going to share a bit of my story that defies all logic and to some may seem counter-intuitive.
When I was in my early twenties my only thoughts were about survival, not riches.
Raised by a hard-working single mother of five. I had an exceptional mentor, who showed me what it was to be a feminine entrepreneur. My mother worked hard, but loved what she did, and it came through in how she led herself daily for countless hours helping women look their best.
But, as life is sometimes, without much warning, she fell ill. Unable to work, I knew that I had to pick up the yoke and to do something. Otherwise we were going to lose our rental as there no longer was any income coming into the household.
Overnight my mind raced through a thousand thoughts; and then, as if it had always been there, an idea was implanted in my cortex and three multi-million dollar companies were birthed. No not miraculously of course…but keep this in mind:
A person’s mind plans his/her way and when alignment is present with the Universe their steps are directed and established.
I had no formal business training. I just had learned that living pay check to pay check was not going to cut it; and honestly there was no room for failure. There also was no business plan, funds, structure, or support of any kind. It was just me, my mother, and a computer in a basement apartment. Oh and of course unrelenting inspired imagination, self-determination and FAITH.
Through this experience several valuable entrepreneurial life lessons were learned.
Here are 3 essentials:
- Success in anything is only achieved, when action is taken in spite of fear and resistance. Dig deep, exercise control over your thoughts. Eliminate what does not serve and purpose to put one foot in front of the other in defined movement;
- Do not focus on perfection. Focus and remain in the moment, complete incremental steps daily that lead to the next required action. Momentum and flow are powerful.
- Have unwavering FAITH that when your motives are aligned with your divine purpose the outcome is already ordained.
Remember best laid plans are ineffective if change does not occur. Change is necessary for progress.
Today’s activity will require you to take 30 minutes of alone, quiet time for yourself. This means putting yourself first, for just this amount of time. I want you to get into a comfortable seated position. Ensure that your feet are touching solidly on the ground. If you prefer you can sit on the ground also. Now although I know that our human minds get distracted 47% of the time, what I’m going to train you in, will serve to enhance your ability to control you focus through mindfulness meditation. This may be a new practice for you. Please maintain a spirit of open mindedness.
