Countdown to the Freedom Challenge

Hello, fellow Freedom Challengers.

Like you, my daughter and I have been working very hard to prepare for the Freedom Challenge event. We have trained together every day and have worked diligently to raise support for the event.

And we are certainly looking forward to it!

Also like you, we see the bigger vision in all of this. We see this not only as a challenge for us on a physical level, but as a challenge to reach a goal and overcome some of the very issues that have affected those we are ultimately seeking to help – the victims of human trafficking. And so beginning July 31, we will climb – as a symbol to myself of trauma to triumph in my own life; in gratitude for my daughter’s protection from a would-be trafficker; and as an example to others that trauma can be overcome.

I have chosen not only to make this climb, but to launch my first book, Rise Up on the momentous occasion of the summit. The proceeds of this book will go to benefit Operation Mobilization and its mission to fight slavery around the world.

I am Dr. Jessica Vera – “Dr. J” to my friends. And I am on a mission to “change the face of brokenness”. Will you join me?

How You Can Help

There are two ways you can help raise funds and awareness for human trafficking, even beyond the Freedom Challenge.

One is by pre-purchasing a copy of the book – for yourself and/or for friends and loved ones who may need its message. Pre-purchased books will be delivered to you during the event. Net proceeds will fund our joint passion – the programs of Operation Mobilization that help eradicate and assist victims of human trafficking.

The second way is to join our Rise Up Launch Team. This simply means you’re willing to help us spread the word via social media and email to those you know as we launch the book. We’ll provide the tools and make it easy for you. Simply sign up below to join the team.
